The SmartSeries LB 414 is a radiometric detector for density, concentration and solids content measurements, combining both -detector and evaluation in one single unit.

SmartSeries LB 414 densitometers can be applied on all liquids and slurries. Beside the high level of accuracy and repeatability, the easy way of detector handling is a major advantage of this density gauge. The local user interface with display and the software -focusing on the main functions make calibration and operation of the HART device very easy. Parametrization can be carried out directly at the detectors push button or using a HART communicator, via PC or infrared remote control.

SmartSeries has been designed for the harshest of process conditions and is best suited for standard density measurements in non-hazardous, non-explosive environments but tough industries like mining, cement or pulp & paper industry. Its outstanding mechanical stability and robustness is verified by the Fraunhofer Institute. SmartSeries is cost-efficient and can be used for many years without the need of maintenance and re-calibrations.

The LB 379 Inline Density Meter combines the radioactive source and the detector in one unit. The compelling advantage of the LB 379 is the extremely low dose rate, actually leading to a licence-free operation in several countries.

Due to its low radiation energy, an Am-241 source is used whose energy is comparable to that of x-rays and whose half-life time is about several hundred years. The LB 379 provides a high statistical accuracy and long-term stability by the use of highly senstitive scintillation detectors with the patented drift compensation.

The system is flanged to the pipeline. It is completely made from stainless steel and is also available with Teflon lining for a wear resistant operation for products with high viscosity and high solids content.

The measuring system LB 444 is used for non-contacting density and concentration measurements of liquids or bulk materials. It is easily installed on existing pipelines without process downtime. The radiometric densitometer is maintenance-free and provides highest operational safety.

 

LB 444 is available with proven 2-wire technology. It comprises a state of the art evaluation unit, which allows for an easy calibration and operation of the measurement and can also be used as a local display.

The system provides both, an intrinsically safe power supply and output signal. LB 444 is proven-in-use and has also applications in SIL2 graded plants.

The LB 444 Fracturing / Cementing density measurement system is designed to measure fracturing proppants and cement in both high and low pressure lines.

The measuring system Uni-Probe LB 491 is used for the non-contacting measurement of density and concentration on liquids, slurries or bulk materials. Connected to a velocity measurement, the Uni-Probe LB 491 can also be used for the online determination of mass flow.
