The process seal antenna has a dish made of PTFE which seals off the cone shaped antenna from the tank atmosphere.

This cone antenna is suitable in hygienic or aggressive tank atmospheres.

A ceramic seal version is available for high pressure and high temperature applications.

The 2210 DU can be remotely installed, connected by a 4-wire cable, or factory mounted at the TankRadar Pro’s enclosure. If installed remotely, up to six Pt-100 elements can be connected to the optional temperature measurement card in the 2210 DU.

TankRadar Pro is fully configurable from the 2210 DU. User-friendly menus and an installation wizard will guide the user through the complete start-up procedure.

All measured and calculated values such as level, spot temperature, volume, signal strength etc are displayed as numeric values or shown as bargraphs. A user-defined window can be set up by the operator.

The cone antenna is suitable for liquid applications, and can be used for both free propagation and in still-pipe installations.

An extended version is available for high nozzles.

The cone antenna gauge can be ordered with a tank seal for high temperature / high pressure applications.

The antenna selection includes several different steel materials.

The existing tank flange can be used as tank connection or the gauge can be delivered with another flange included as an option.

Still-pipe installation is particularly suitable for applications with highly turbulent liquids, or liquids with very low dielectric constant which give weak radar reflections (such as LPG).

The Pro Still-pipe Array Antenna Gauge with its small-sized antenna is designed for mounting on existing still-pipes.

It measures accurately even if the still-pipe is rusty or deposit coated.

Typical applications are crude oil tanks with floating roofs and gasoline/product tanks with or without inner floating roofs.

The Still-pipe Array Antenna Gauge is available in two models, the fixed and the hinged-lid version. The Hinged-lid version enables easy access to the still-pipe, for convenient hand-dipping and product sampling.

The still-pipe must be vertical within 0.5° (0.2 m over 20 m) to obtain highest measurement accuracy.

The high quality and reliable Multiple Spot Temperature sensor (MST) measures temperature with a number of Pt-100 spot elements placed at different heights to provide a tank temperature profile and an average temperature.

Only the fully immersed elements are used to determine product temperature.

The spot elements are placed in a flexible gas tight protection tube made from convoluted stainless steel.

A flange can be attached to a top fitting and the tube can be anchored to the bottom.

The MST is easy to install, even if the tank is in service. In pressurized tanks the MST can be installed in a closed thermowell so that it can be removed for service or inspection while the tank is in operation.

For LPG tanks, single spot temperature sensors in thermowells are used.

Temperature sensors can be connected in two ways to the RTG:

• Directly into the RTG with common return connection (up to six temperature elements)
• Via the DAU (up to 14 temperature elements)

A water level sensor or a junction box can be integrated in the MST.

The parabolic antenna has very high antenna gain and can be used for liquids as well as solid applications.

Since it has the largest diameter, it has the most narrow radar beam, which makes it suitable for long measuring distances, up to 100 m (330 ft).

Due to the antenna shape, the parabolic antenna is insensitive to contamination and can therefore be used in harsh environments, with for example asphalt.

A flexible PTFE radome is available for dusty applications.

The parabolic antenna has a built-in, ± 3°, inclination for easy installation.

The tank connection can be welded or threaded.
