SIEMENS SITRANS Temperature Transmitters (Rail Mounting)

When connected directly in the 4 to 20 mA loop, the SITRANS TR devices require no auxiliary power supply. They are installed in junction boxes or in the control room close to the process, thus permitting centralized access to all connected measurement points.
The separate auxiliary power connection ensures the great flexibility of the SITRANS TW devices in view of the output signals. For example, the SITRANS TW provides not only the most commonly used 4 to 20 mA output signal but can also be configured for 0 –20 mA and 0 –10 V or 2 –10 V via HART protocol.

SITRANS TR200 is designed to support all common RTDs, thermocouples, resistance and Millivolt sensors. Setup is quick and easy with the transmitter-modem and SIPROM T software. This configuration tool can be downloaded free. Unique user-friendly details are implemented: Without opening the 4-20mA loop, the output current can be read out directly with a multimeter. A red/green LED shows the technician the status at a glance.

More details

SITRANS TW is a consistent further development of the hundred thousand times proven SITRANS T for the 4wire system in the mounting rail housing. Its many new functions set new standards in temperature transmitters. Its diagnostic and simulation functions provide the necessary clarity during commissioning and operation. Its HART®-interface makes the SITRANS TW easily adaptable to any measuring job with SIMATIC PDM. Physical values can be preset with the simulation function. This enables testing of the complete signal path right as far as the control system without the need for tools. The drag pointer functions measure the system’s process variable minimum and maximum. All SITRANS TW control room devices are available in non-intrinsically safe versions and intrinsically safe versions for applications under extreme conditions.
